24 Week Bumpdate

24 Week Bump Shot

How far along? 24 weeks- 6 months - 2nd trimester
Total weight gain: 140 lbs, same as last week...15 lbs total so far.
Maternity clothes: Definitely in maternity gear. I can still work in my old wardrobe, but especially at work, maternity stockings are a  must and maternity dresses are just what are the most roomy and comfortable. Still rocking out heels from time to time though! I'm trying to avoid them though to avoid any swelling- been very lucky so far!
Stretch marks? Still nothing- so thankful!
Sleep: I can't sleep! It's driving me crazy. The worst insomnia ever. I have been up past midnight the last few nights, which hasn't happened since before I got pregnant I feel like, but then having to get up for work is killing me. I just want my body to balance out, and I can't ever nap. I miss sleeping. :(
Best moment this week:  My husband got lucky at the casino, so we're going to put the winnings towards starting Landon's college fund!! YAY! I was the first person in my family to go to college, so my parents never planned anything like this for me, and I can't wait to be able to have something to help Landon in the future. :)
Miss anything?  Wine! I cheated today and had a small bit of coffee mixed with hot chocolate. And I MISS SLEEP. :(
Movement:  Yes- lots of kicking and wiggling going on in there. AND I LOVE IT!!! Keep moving, little man!
Food cravings: Chocolate milk, french fries & frosty (I blamed my mother-in-law, as she told me her pregnancy craving with my husband was frosties, and since then, I've wanted one almost every day, but only caved in once because my husband offered to go get it! haha)
Anything making you queasy or sick? Seafood.
Gender: Boy
Labour signs: None, and hopefully none for awhile!
Symptoms: Insomnia, heartburn
Belly button in or out? Still in, but it looks different- eek!
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, and so looking forward to a long weekend. I love my job and my work, but I really need a break since I'm trying to save every vacation and sick day towards maternity leave (my work doesn't give you any paid time, ugh- so frustrating. I'm ready to move to Europe), and being pregnant, I could really use a break, so I will soak up every minute of sleep my body allows me to get this long weekend!
Looking forward to: New Years Eve- sounds like our friends made reservations for all of us to go to Eddie Cerinos (right around the corner from our house with amazing Italian) for dinner that night, then just hanging out afterwards. That'll probably be the night I pass out early when you want to stay up, lol, since I have't gotten any sleep the last few nights. Either way, I'm excited to get dressed up and have a fun group date.

Merry Christmas, 23 weeks!

Hey Little Landon,

Merry Christmas, sweet baby boy! We are 23 weeks along, and Mommy can't believe that means she's 6 months pregnant. I'm so happy time is flying and that it is getting closer and closer to meeting you and having you here for everyone to love on you, not just you in my belly. Though I love feeling you move and dance to Christmas songs in there. You definitely like music like your Mommy and Daddy!
23 weeks bump shot
This week, Mommy and Daddy both had to work on Christmas Eve, but we went over Aunt Sally's house for Christmas Eve with the Koehler side of the family. You already are getting spoiled with presents. Aunt Emily, Uncle Chris, & cousin Cole got you some very cute blue stocking caps for when you're in the hospital, and the sweetest sweatshirt with little bear cub ears on the hood. Auntie Jillian also picked Mommy in our gift exchange, and she got you a very cute Cleveland sweatshirt. You'll have so much hometown pride!

On Christmas Day, Mommy and Daddy slept in and exchanged presents in the morning, even though this year we just did mostly stockings because we wanted all our extra money to go towards stuff for you. That's the best Christmas present we could ask for is having you join our family and getting stuff for your room and clothes etc. But Mommy got Daddy a Browns hoodie that has KOEHLER and his number (#21) on the back. I also got him his favorite candy and a movie giftcard so we can go see a movie together. Daddy got Mommy some really nice smelling candles, some expensive chocolates, and a McDonald's gift card for our breakfast sandwich cravings. :)
Christmas Cocoa (for you & Mommy)  & Coffee (for Daddy)

After we looked in our stockings, Mommy made us a Christmas brunch. We had hashbrowns, cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, and Cinnamon roll monkey bread. So yummy! Then Mommy started prepping the food for our Christmas dinner feast. Your Poppy, Great Grampa, and GG all came over for dinner. We ate Chicken Parmesan, Bacon Carbonara fettuccine, and Rigatoni with red sauce with meatballs and sausage, Italian bread with herbs, olives and salad. It was so yummy- everyone was stuffed.

I can't wait until you're here next Christmas. Everyone is so excited too! You will be one loved and spoiled little man.

Keep growing big and strong in Mommy's tummy!

Love you,

Mommy xoxo

23 Week Bumpdate

23 Week Bumpdate
How far along? 23 weeks- 6 months - 2nd trimester
Total weight gain: 140 lbs, 15 lbs total so far...eek!
Maternity clothes: Yes- I can still wear pencil skirts that have some stretch, and my jeans/pants by doing the hair tie trick around the button, but they're just not as comfortable as maternity pants with the over the belly band. I also ordered some maternity clothes, mainly all dresses, off of ASOS Maternity this week, so I can have more to wear at work and maybe find a good dress for my shower. While overall maternity clothes are pretty stylish, I have to say WORK maternity clothes that are stylish are hard to come by....so as many cute dresses that I can jazz up with blazers or jewelry are my go-to these days.
Stretch marks? Still nothing- so thankful!
Sleep: Really difficult. Landon moves around all night (seems to be really awake from 9 pm-4 am) so it's so hard to get comfortable, and by the time I finally fall into a deeper sleep, I have to wake up for work between 5-6 am. But in the end, it's all worth it for him, and prepping me for the months ahead, I'm sure!
Best moment this week:  Christmas- and that GG got to feel him in my tummy. :)
Miss anything?  Wine!
Movement:  Yes- lots at night, but here and there throughout the day, especially after I eat he must get a burst of energy from gobbling down some food and he'll move around a bit!
Food cravings: Chocolate milk, black olives, pizza
Anything making you queasy or sick? Seafood as always
Gender: Boy
Labour signs: None, thank goodness!
Symptoms: Backache, abdominal pains (stretching), fatigue
Belly button in or out? Still in, but I feel like it's changing- ahhhhhh!
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but with the holiday I've had a few mini-meltdowns just around stress and being so tired and trying to please everyone it can just get hard!
Looking forward to: Having a few days off of work, sleeping in, and getting to see family and friends over the coming days!

Twenty-twoooooooo!

Hey Little One,

We've made it to 22 weeks! It's been a very busy week for Mommy. She finished all of the Christmas shopping this weekend, and filled out all of the Christmas cards to send out. She also took a sick day today because it's been a little too stressful at work and with all of the Christmas prep stuff too. It was nice to sleep in, and I got a prenatal massage today, so that was really nice to just relax and pamper you and me!
22 weeks bump shot

For our Christmas card, we took the first of what I'm sure will be many cheesy Christmas photos. As you can see, we've already got a stocking for you too!
Out little family- the first of many cheesy Christmas photos :)
We've also noticed that your big sister, Colie, loves coming into your room and camping out in the glider. We bet she'll be an awesome guard dog and protective big sister.
Guard dog big sister- already found her spot in your room
It is Gramma Logan's birthday this week- she's turning 51. And Auntie Kali came into town from college. She goes to pharmacy school at the University of Cincinnati, and is very busy between school and working at the hospital down there, so it's always so nice to see her. She took us out to Barrio for dinner, and since she missed my birthday, she brought a great bag of all the stuff I've been craving- chocolate milk, chicken noodle soup, black olives, and rice krispie treats. YummO! She can't wait to be an Auntie either!

Keep growing big and strong in there baby boy. Everyone can't wait to meet you!

Love you,

Mommy xoxo

21- Birthday fun!

Hi Baby Boy,

We are at 21 weeks, and it's mommy's birthday week! Mommy turned 27 this year. It sounds so old. I'm sure when you read this, you'll think that it sounds old too, but I think it will be my best year yet since you'll be coming.
21 weeks...and tired. But still so excited for you!
This week, work was really exhausting because of some not very nice coworkers who are causing trouble at the office. However, Mommy's team was very nice to her for her birthday, and got her balloons and cake and cards and a really nice gold bracelet. They even took Mommy out to lunch where we feasted on buffalo chicken tenders.
Daddy's birthday present to Mommy- SO PERFECT!!!
When Mommy got home, Daddy had flowers waiting for her (hot pink, her favorite) and he took her out to a Mexican Feast at El Carnicero. It was so yummy! We ate guacamole and steak and chorizo tamales. Daddy also got a special rose gold bracelet made for mommy with your name on it! We already both love you so much that anything about you or with your name gets us excited.  Last weekend Papito (my dad, who you'll call Poppy) took Mommy for our annual shopping date to Macy's. Dad came along this year too, and he got an early Christmas present- cologne. They had a free engraver, so we got Landon's Daddy engraved on the bottle. Seriously, we are so happy that you'll be joining our family we just can't wait another 19 weeks, haha!
Daddy's early Christmas present- engraved for you!
After our shopping trip, we went to lunch at Macaroni Grill, and Mommy and you ate some of the biggest meatballs she's ever seen in her life. They were so yummy!
One of the birthday presents from GG- the newest Browns Fan :)

Your Great Gramma, GG, also got an ornament for Mommy for her birthday for you. It is so cute- it's a little Browns helmet that says "Newest Browns Fan" and it has your name on it. I can't wait for you to hang it on our Christmas trees yourself in the future.

Love you little one- keep on growing big and strong in there!

Love you,

Mommy xoxo

20 Week Bump Shot

How far along?  20 weeks - 5 months  - 2nd trimester

Looking forward to:  My birthday coming up next week! :)

We're 1/2 way there!!!!

Hi Baby Boy!

Mommy cannot believe that we're already halfway through cooking you. Time is flying, but mommy is thankful for that because we're so excited for you to get here. April can't come soon enough, but it sure is getting closer!

20 weeks- 1/2 way there!
It's also December 1st, which is Mommy's favorite month because it's not only Christmas, but Mommy's birthday is on the 9th. It's also your Gramma Logan's birthday month- her birthday is December 18th. But most importantly, it's Jesus' birthday on December 25th, which is why we celebrate Christmas!
1/2 way there bump shot (looks like a beer gut, haha)

I can't complain much about anything, just that sleep is becoming more difficult, and work is stressful as usual, but knowing we're halfway to you keeps me motivated through rough days. I have a Doctor's appointment to check up on you this week, so I'll be excited to hear your little heartbeat.

Also, your future best friend Carli Sandra Keller just had her birthday! It was a long labor for Mommy's best friend Deena, but Carli is finally here. She was 8 1/2 pounds and 21 inches long- a very healthy girl! I can't wait for you to come out and meet her.
Carli Sandra Keller born 12.1.2014
Love you bunches- keep growing big and strong in there little one so you can meet Carli and all of us soon!

Love,

19 weeks...and counting!

Hi Little Landon,

We've made it past 19 weeks- I can't believe it's been that long, and I can only hope the next 21 go just as fast. But considering how excited I am, I doubt that will be the case. Daddy is getting more and more excited too.

We saw you on the ultrasound last Wednesday, and you look just like your Daddy. You definitely have his nose. And you were moving around in there. I hope you're comfy and that you like it in there. Even though it hurts sometimes and you make it tough to sleep, I love having you with me all the time, and feeling your little turns and flutters in there. I can't wait to feel a really big kick, but try not to hurt your mom!
Your sweet profile <3

You are measuring perfectly, and we went right to Home Depot to get your paint after it is very clear that you are a little boy in there!
Definitely A BOY!!!

Daddy and Gramma LoLo painted your nursery the most lovely shade of light blue on Wednesday after your ultrasound appointment.
Daddy painting- all smiles!

Gramma LoLo- the painting pro

This weekend, we made some serious ground on your nursery. Daddy and I (mostly Daddy) set up your crib early on Saturday morning. We went to your future friend Chase's first birthday party, and then Mommy went to Bob Evans for dinner with your Great Gramma (G.G.) and Great Grampy. While we were eating, your dresser and armoire were delivered, except the armoire wouldn't fit up the stairs, so the furniture guy said he'd come back to disassemble it and reassemble it upstairs for you. It was very, very nice of him. Daddy helped him put it all back together too. He loves helping when it comes to anything for you, little guy.
Your crib- puppies galore

Mommy spent Saturday night wiping out all the drawers with disinfectant and polishing up everything to make sure it's all clean and perfect for you. I also put together your little cube bookshelf, and I put some of your toys away. I hope you like your room, mister! We're trying to make it perfect for you.
Your dresser and changing table

Your bookshelf and toys

We've still got to put some finishing touches on it, and hang everything on the walls, but I cannot wait to get it all finished for your over the coming months. More than anything, I can't wait to crack open the door in the middle of the night and see you sleeping in there. I just can't wait for you to get here!

Love you bunches,

Mommy xo

Lifesaver for work is pregnancy stockings! Regular ones were too tight on my bump, and the maternity ones are so much roomier and much more comfy!
Stretch marks? None
Sleep: Sleep is getting ROUGH!
Best moment this week: Having a shorter work week! So hopefully that will mean MORE SLEEP! I need it!

Seventeen & Snow Pretty!

Hi Little Landon,

You are 17 weeks along in my tummy, and I can feel you move a little bit. Not any big kicks yet, but I'm pretty sure I can feel you changing positions in there, flipping over or turning it feels like. I went to the doctor this week, and she says you are one happy, healthy little one in there. Your heartbeat was between 140-150, and she said mommy is at a good weight. I've gained 11 pounds since I found out about you. I can still wear a lot of my clothes and pants, but I have started to wear some maternity stuff just because it feels more comfortable.

17 week bump shot! O-H!
I have to say, this week I swayed a bit away from super healthy, and had pizza twice this week! It was yummy- I bet you liked it too. As far as cravings, I still want guacamole. Grapes also sound really good. And I still have orange juice and an egg and bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich almost every single morning. I've also been wanting chicken noodle soup a lot. I wonder if you'll like these things once you're out.

This week was also our first snow in Cleveland, and boy, little boy, did it snow! We got about 5 inches last night, and this morning it took Mommy 90 minutes to get to work, which normally takes me about 15-20 minutes. But it is snow pretty outside. I hope you like winters too. I have an office, actually they just moved me to a corner office today, so I get a pretty view of the snow outside. However, Daddy and I did have dinner plans to meet your Auntie Deena and her husband Scott, and Auntie Krista and her husband Mike, but we cancelled because of the weather. We didn't want to take any risks and keep you safe!

Big Sister lays on you in my belly <3
Mommy also went to check out a furniture store with her friend at work, Stephanie. There's a guy in Ohio City who refinishes old, antique pieces, so he's going to be making your dresser and your armoire. I think I also figured out which crib I want to get for you too, but I'm going to go look at it in the store first. Daddy and I decided that we're going to paint your nursery the weekend of Thanksgiving. We'll have Thanksgiving Thursday, and we go cut down our Christmas tree that Friday, and then we'll probably paint your room that Saturday. I'm so excited!

Love you so much already, little man!

Love you,

Mommy xoxo

17 Week Bump Shot

How far along?  17 weeks - 4 months - 2nd trimester
Total weight gain:  136 (1 lbs up from last week and 11 lbs overall- starting to worry if I'm gaining too much too fast!)
Maternity clothes: I can still wear regular clothes, but I did need to go bra shopping (went from a 34 B to a 34 DD!!! YIKES!!!!) However, my friend Lisa dropped off a bin of her maternity clothes, and my cousin Iny gave me some of her maternity dresses, so I'll definitely need to start rotating in some maternity clothes, which I am excited for!
Stretch marks? None
Sleep: I'd seriously sleep all day if I could! It's crazy how tired I am ALL THE TIME. Probably due to NO COFFEE :(
Best moment this week: Went to get my nails done with my best friend, Deena, and then we met up with one of our best friends, Krista to have a hibachi dinner. It was really fun hanging out us three girls, especially since Deena is ready to pop with Carli any day now!

Food cravings:  chicken noodle soup, Chinese food, bacon
Anything making you queasy or sick? Seafood. Always seafood.

Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody this week...gaining weight has been a clear sign that life is definitely changing for the Koehler household, and work has been stressful, so I've just not been as upbeat as I have been.
Looking forward to:  Painting Landon's room!

Sweet 16

Hey Baby Boy,

It your sweet 16 weeks in my tummy! And you sure are sweet to your mommy for the most part. Besides making me tired, I can't complain too much. This was a really hard week at work though, so mommy felt very stressed and cried a little bit, but I don't think I can blame your or the hormones, more the mean people at work.
Sweet 16 weeks!
However, I decided since it was a tough week we  needed some pampering, so on Saturday we got a prenatal massage and got a manicure/pedicure with Auntie Deena, and then we got a hibachi Japanese dinner with Auntie Deena and Auntie Krista met us there. It was so relaxing, and so fun to catch up with the girls.
Auntie Krista & Auntie Deena
Then on Sunday, we had some retail therapy. Mommy hit up the baby clothes clearance racks, and got you an awesome start to your wardrobe. I got you an outfit for when you're first born, a three month outfit, 6 month outfit, 9 month outfit, and 12 month outfit, and some awesome sneakers for you to rock too. I also had to get you some funny bibs, and some hats and sunglasses. Since Daddy loves his accessories, I figure you will too!
Browns sneakers :)  Daddy's jealous- he wants a pair!

Your first outfits!

Bibs

Little Gentleman- in flannel and loafers!

I can't wait til you're here so I can dress you up and show you off. I love you so much little one! Keep growing big and strong in there.

It's a...

Hi Little One! I mean, Hi Little BOY!!!!!!

That's right little guy, you are our Landon Brian. LBK. We know you're in there. And boy, oh boy, do we love you more than ever! I have never seen your daddy so happy than the hours and days following our big gender reveal party. He has been hoping and praying for a son, and you are the answer to his prayers. And mommy's too- no doubt about it. I cannot wait to have a mama's boy (in all of the good ways) and help you grow into a dashing little gentleman.

Our Little Pumpkin's a BOY!!!

We went to the ultrasound on a Saturday morning (the appointment was at 11:00 AM), and the ultrasound tech was the nicest lady ever. We told her about the party we were having to tell the family if you were a boy or a girl at 1:00 (just 2 hours later), and she said "Well then we've got to figure this out. No pressure, huh guys?" But she was great. She triple-checked to make sure she was right, and she made mommy and daddy super excited every time she had us look away because we wanted to wait to find out with everyone else. But we still got to see you from lots of different angles.
The pumpkin reveal box!

You are sure getting big in there, little buddy! She predicted that you will be 23 inches when you are born because you had the longest arms and legs. This makes daddy even happier though, because he can't wait to start teaching you sports and agility and drills to become an all-star athlete.
Trick or Treat? Blue or Pink?

BLUE!

Anyways, mommy made a boy and a girl pumpkin, and we had the ultrasound tech go in a back room and put the right pumpkin in the box. We had the family come over, and everyone signed up to guess what you were going to be. The majority of people said you'd be a boy- so I guess they were right!
Everyone's Guesses

Once everyone got there, we opened the box in front of the family. Daddy immediately pumped his fist into the air, and was so thrilled. I was so happy to finally know more about who you are in there, and to start planning things for you!

Literally, as soon as everyone left the party, Daddy and I went to Babies-R-Us and we got you your nursery bedding, blankets, changing pad cover, and some puppy rattles and toys. Your nursery is going to be the sports and puppies theme, and we're going to paint the walls light blue, and I think we're going to get a brown crib and dresser set for you. We're still trying to figure out where to get you some good, safe furniture from right now.
Your bedding- sports & puppies!

The next day, Mommy went to Marshall's and Target and I got you some more puppy blankets that are so soft and cozy, and an Ohio State Buckeyes outfit so you'll be ready for football in the fall. Daddy said it was a great purchase. He can't wait to have a little sports buddy, so I hope you'll like sports. I'm betting you will though- every man in the family seems to, but if you don't that's okay too. I'm sure you'll be perfect no matter what.

Your first Buckeye's outfit- O-H!
Mommy and you are in Denver right now, and she is making sure to drink plenty of water since the elevation here is higher than home, and you can get dehydrated pretty easy. But we're eating really well- the conference has tons of buffets and snacks. We've been chowing down on omelets and fruit every morning for breakfast, salads with steak for lunch, and we had guacamole and a burrito last night for dinner. I hope you like Mexican like your Mama- we can go all the time. Maybe it can be our little tradition some day.
Mommy and you in Denver!

I can't wait to have Mommy and me time with you, little guy. I promise I'll try to be the best mama, and support you in all your interests, take you to play and see fun things around Cleveland, and teach you how to be polite and smart and fun to be around. And when you start to date, I'll teach you how to be the guy everyone wants to date, haha.

Love you, little Landon,

Mommy <3 xoxo
